Sheen Falls Lodge, Kenmare, Ireland
Acquired with partners and friends and family in 2013, this Irish five star hotel which was turned around into a highly profitable operation, receiving many accolades in the process, included being voted in the Worlds top 10 hotels by Conde Nast. Sold in 2018, to a Singapore buyer with investors returns in excess of 5 x money. Paul Clark was CEO of this business
La Residencia, Mallorca
As Commercial Director of Virgin Limited Edition, saw the development of this trophy hotel in Deia, Mallorca, with Richard Bransons first wife, from a small 22 room hotel, to one of Europes best hotels, following the addition of 30 luxury suites, a spa and other facilities, sold to Orient Express Hotels (now Belmond), in 2001, in a deal brokered by Paul Clark, which also saw the sale of Raymond Blancs, Le Manoir Aux Quat Saison, to Orient Express.
The Westin, London
Identified, this major site on the banks of the River Thames, and acquired it for a distressed price for a client, from the last Lehman fund, through Resolution Property, brokered by Dehavilland.
Subsequently, arranged change of use and extension of lease to 150 years, with City of London Corporation, and arranged planning approval for a 222 room five star hotel, with extensive conference facilities, and luxury residential Thames view apartments. Now a very successful hotel under the Westin brand. PC and Noel Reid were heavily involved in this development.
Luxury Family Hotels
Involved as a NED’s in Luxury Family Hotels, a collection of 7 luxury family resorts in the UK, subsequently sold to Von Essen Hotels, and then re-purchased under a buy back arrangement backed by Patron Capital and Santander, for circa £50 million, with PC becoming Commercial Director having led the buy back deal. The concept forms the basis for the planned city centre Bambino luxury city centre family hotel concept, being launched by Dehavilland.

Clubs International
Advisors on the purchase of the Caribbeans largest all inclusive group, with the backing of General Motors (GMAC), to create a seven resort collection in Antigua, Barbados and St Lucia, with over 3,000 rooms, BA Holidays and Virgin Holidays biggest resort operator in the West Indies, with resorts including the 372 room Club St. Lucia resort.
Necker Island – British Virgin Islands
Richard Bransons well known private island, which as Virgin Hotels, commercial director PC was involved in improving the business case, by growing room nights per annum from 130 days per annum to over 270 days, and substantially increasing rate to $51,000 per day, this took a loss making business into substantial profit.
Turtle Bay Beach Club – Watamu, Kenya
As 50% shareholder in this Indian Ocean Kenyan 162 room resort, we were ground breakers on the African continent, bringing the all inclusive concept to Africa for the first time, and turning this loss making resort into a highly profitable business.
Restaurant Experience
Set up a branded restaurant with Sir Ian Botham at the Aviva Stadium, called Beefys. Worked in partnership with Marco Pierre White to acquire and re-launch the Wheelers of St James brand.
Transportation Advisory – Airline & Shipping
Led sale of the largest Baltic Cruise Fleet, Silja Line, from Sea Containers to Estonias largest shipping Company, for 560 million euros. Led sale of Isle of Man Steam Packet to Montagu private equity for £142 million. Advised on the setting up of Virgin Atlantics Caribbean routes, to provide daily direct services to a number of countries, including Barbados and St. Lucia. Provided report on potential restructuring of Kenya Airways. Advised on setting up of a new Bahamas based airline
